I trained as a Chartered Physiotherapist over 25 years
ago and spent 20
years in the health service gaining a wide range of experience in
outpatients, orthopaedics, medical, ICU, stroke rehabilitation,
learning disability, women’s health and in the latter part of that
period specialising in paediatrics.
In 1993 I gained a postgraduate diploma in Lower Limb
Orthotic Biomechanics from Strathclyde University.
In 2001 my interest in posture and the treatment of
chronic pain led me to Boulder Colorado where I spent an intensive 4
months training as a practitioner in Structural Integration.
Sometimes nicknamed Rolfing this work involves
- Manipulation of the connective tissue system
- Balancing the body around a central line – the line
of gravity, through hands on work and movement education
- Offering a series of ten sessions – a “recipe” which
allows each session to build on previous ones, by gradually releasing
restrictions and strains throughout the body.
Since 2001 I have been constantly refining my work,
through workshops and self study. I have found that the more gentle I
am with my own body as I work and the more gently I work with my
clients, the more profound and deeply healing the sessions can be.
“The body is the
marker of all truth” Serge Benhayon
I have always been interested in how energy plays a
part in our health and well being. Whilst exploring a variety of
different treatment modalities I came across Serge Benhayon and
Esoteric Medicine. Serge’s teachings felt anciently true and very
loving to me and I felt impulsed to learn more. Since 2006 I have been
studying with Serge and Universal Medicine and twice yearly I attend
workshops and presentations on Esoteric Medicine.
Esoteric means that which comes from our inner-most.
is the livingness of love that we all carry equally deep within and it
is this livingness that restores each and every individual back into
the rhythms of their inner-harmony and thus from there, the love is
lived with all others. (SB)
Esoteric Medicine and its various treatment
supports people in discarding the disharmony in their body so they can
begin their return to their inner-most.
